I’m Ashley Kern. new fable is my art and printmaking practice. I grew up in California, and currently live in San Jose, California, with my husband and our three cats.

I am a studio member at Visual Philosophy in San Jose, California.

I hold a Bachelors of Art in Studio Art from the University of California, Riverside.

I am inspired by flora and fauna, myth and fairytale, the companionship of clothing, and the interconnectedness of the natural world. To explore these themes, I work in multiple medias, including drawing, painting, and printmaking.

If you’d like to support me, please sign up for my newsletter, where I will share upcoming shows, events, and eventually, online shop updates.

While I’m not taking any commissions for custom artwork at this time, I anticipate opening them up in the future! That will also be announced via the newsletter.

However, if you’re looking for a small or medium-sized mural in my style, please reach out. It is my dream to complete a mural in a small business, non-profit or school here in San Jose.

Thank you for your support as I re-dedicate myself to the work that makes me feel the most alive!
